What is Imputed Medical Insurance?
Imputed medical insurance is a type of voluntary medical insurance for foreigners (non-residents) temporarily residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Under the Law of the RK "On Population Migration" and international treaties, foreign workers receive medical services under the standard imputed medical insurance agreement approved by the authorized body.
Legal Requirement
Under sub-clause 6, clause 1, Article 26 of the Labour Code of the RK, it is prohibited to conclude an employment contract with foreigners and stateless persons temporarily residing in the RK who do not have an imputed medical insurance agreement covering primary healthcare and emergency specialized inpatient care.
